River Law

Texas river law is immensely complex.  Even on rivers that are clearly navigable, it is difficult to ascertain the gradient boundary, which is the line between what is public and what is private.

A lawyer with Texas Parks and Wildlife has written a discussion.

Another discussion of river-related law is by Joe Riddell, formerly of the Texas Attorney General's office.
